It Really Has Come to This Komrades - PA official Snitch Form

Okay, I'll be one of the first (maybe only one?) who doesn't have a huge problem with the "snitch form". Reason being: if you ever have worked for a crappy employer in PA, there really isn't any clear & easy way to complain to the State about violations in the workplace. Specifically if you work in the medical field, there is no way to easily find a person to contact and get a complaint filed. If you have a Union where you work, maybe they will do something, but if you are non-union, or agency employed, you're outta luck.

Timing and implementation of this was ham-fisted & clunky, agreed. But there has been a need for years to have a way to let the State agencies know of problems in the workplace. Sad that it took this virus thing to make the change.

I've been working in small businesses for 30 years; with few exceptions, following termination of employees for cause resulted in visits by PADEP and OSHA. It wasn't a question of if, only when. One POS was termed for running over another worker's foot and still had the balls to drop dimes. It got to be a joke with the DEP guy. "You know why I'm here; I gotta follow up on all complaints, so let's walk around." The phone numbers are out there, and at one time they were listed in these things called "phone books" in the section where the paper was yellow, listed under "Government -State" and "Government -Federal". Easy-peasy.
