Re: Despite NRA Protestations, Time for Gun Ownership IQ Testing?
I'd agree with IQ tests for gun ownership WHEN there's the same test for being able to vote, hold office or work within the government.
Dumb ass voters and politicians have caused more harm, much more harm than a few stupid gun owners.

That photo prefacing the article is obviously doctored (the trigger is not pulled back).
Any mission, any conditions, any foe at any range.
Twice the mayhem, triple the force.
Ten times the action, total hardcore.

^^^^ this. I can hear the Democrats now: "That's racist! You'll deprive African-Americans of their voting rights, because they're not as..... um... you know...."
Just like how Dems don't think that blacks are capable of pulling a photo ID out of their wallet like everyone else.

I don't know, when you see stories like the guy in Missouri who was trying to put a whole in his wall. Decided to use his gun an killed his wife who was outside watching. While an IQ test shouldn't be limited to guns (having babies and driving come to mind) there are some cases that make you consider it as feasible.

There are tons of smart people with no common sense, too.

YES YES YES I wish more minorities would be able to see through the insults the liberals throw their way all the time, veiled as "concern".....
And it is VERY true that there are some genius people out there with absolutely no street smarts and can barely function in society...and there are people who could barely make it through school who are full of common sense and hard work and have good jobs and families.
Now, IQ tests for DRIVERS LICENSES maybe...... haha j/k"Stupid people are ruining America." --Herman Cain

Re: Despite NRA Protestations, Time for Gun Ownership IQ Testing?
i put some blame (actually alot of it) on the instructor. i just took a basic pistol class and i was suprised how many people in it never have touched a pistol before. and the 1st thing they did in the class was make sure nobody had and ammo on them or in any guns in the room. If that guy had never touched a gun before how woul dhe know how it works or if its loaded.
i did like the comment that he was trying to kill his wife and used that as a excuse
