If you like that Zahal sling, that's fine, and I'm happy to learn about new options I hadn't heard of, but that is not the "same design".
It doesn't adjust the same, the material is different, the width is different, it's got a cheap-assed hardware store hook connector - nothing about it is the same as the ESD Sling.
I watched his videos too. I have an IDF sling and the differences are trivial. The only thing I see different is the "quick adjust" length adjustment that you don't need. How it is carried and used is exactly the same. The military sling is made from quality materials and that is not a cheap-assed hardware store hook connector. You think the Israeli military issues crap?

OK, we define "trivial" differently then.
When I looked at it, these were my observations:

    It's too wide. (for me)
    It has no "keeper".
If it adjusts, I don't know how - the guy in the vid didn't bother to demonstrate that.

If it works for you, that's all that matters. It's not something I'm interested in though because - it has none of the features of the ESD sling - which has all the features I'm looking for in a sling.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

I might be confused but I didn't see any video demonstrating the IDF military sling. But I agree whatever you should get what you think you like.

In the product link you posted - there's a video if you scroll down.

One thing I found on that site that looks versatile and affordable are these attachment pieces for $7

Yep, all I use are the padded VTAC slings...

The IDF slings do not have a quick adjust feature and that is a good thing. You set the sling up once to the correct length and leave it. For actual military use this is critical since the way these slings are used if it is adjusted too tight you will not be able to get the rifle into shooting position in a split second when needed. In the Sherman and VTAC videos you see then quickly loosening the sling then shooting. Then tightening them for close to the body carry. While this looks Tacticool in actual military use it would mean dead soldiers

Good thing I'm not using mine in actual military use then!

I'm not looking for "tacticool" - I'm looking for practical.
