1st rifle season now this. Disgusting way to make money.

Oh and fishing camps have no time to set up. Its a travesty.
No one is stopping anybody from having any particular day set aside for a family weekend for fishing and breakfasts and cabins and campfires and beer. Opening the season doesn't change a damn thing

Oh heck yeah! I’m about as subtle as a turd in a punch bowl.

I love it and will take advantage of it. Lots of stocked streams by me.

I can't see trout season opening as anything but good. Hell, I wish I would have known earlier. I would have gone this evening.

It give people something to do outside, so they aren't cooped up.Plus, the weather has been much warmer than normal. It should be nice fishing very soon.
Yep, nobody goes where I go fishing anyway. I've only ever seen one or two people fishing on the stocked creek where I go. Originally they had cancelled early season in SE PA and said opening day is the 18th. It don't matter if it's open now there'll be enough fish for me. Last year I went to the Dandy Car Wash at West Chester Pike in Derby Creek with former co-workers. It was fun fishin' wid dose guise.

Well that whole tradition crap just cost the local business's a lot of money,
especially from our camp, as only 1 or 2 people go now due to the new
    lack of tradition schedule.
Its not all about hunting, its about friends getting together one weekend a year,
    and having a good time.

I’m not sure I understand your response. so if you go up on Saturday it ruins all of that tradition? Can’t you just not hunt Saturday and begin hunting on Monday like you normally would? That’s why I get so confused on that argument. So get together and have a great time just don’t hunt that Saturday like you normally wouldnt.

I personally don't care about the Saturday opener. I do see the point of the other side. Thanksgiving is Thursday so a lot of guys would leave Friday to go to camp, scout all weekend and be ready to hunt Monday. Now they will have to do a scouting trip prior. Opening day is the best day. Monday would be much harder to see deer.

No noise, no shooting, no explosions, no riding atv's no visiting other camps
on the atv's the list goes on.

In a nut shell, no fun. One can hunt anytime, but one cannot get together
and have a great time at anytime.
Thats what we call tradition, about 30 years worth down the shitter.

what’s going to stop you from doing that? I don’t understand just don’t hunt on Saturday do what you would normally do at camp what’s the big deal? if none of you Hunt then it’s like nothing ever changed.

It’s all about your priorities. Do you wanna hunt do you want to hang out with your family what do you want to do? Because your priorities are not the same as mine so why because you want to spend all this time with your family for Thanksgiving and all this other stuff should that impact me when I really don’t want to? It’s like the excuses while you’re forcing me now to hunt on Saturday. No, no one’s being forced to do anything they don’t wanna do.

FOMO. That is not an excuse.
