I know a few. I don't tell them what to use for hunting and they don't tell me how many non hunting guns to own.

We just get along. 2 days ago one of them asked me about how many AR 15s I'm thinking about selling. Said he might be interested in one. Told him I had to check my stock.

I would assume that nearly all of them bought one, but none of them can bear the fact that they just admitted to themselves that their beloved boltguns are obsolete for anything other than hunting season lol.

i love driving fudds nuts with my Troy PARs that i use for hunting. one is a 300 blackout and the other is a 308 suppressed. I get so many people that tell me its not legal cause it looks like a scary black gun.

That’s juuust a bit stereotypical, lol! But, I’m baggin’ what you’re rakin’, I’m smellin’ what you’re steppin’ in...I am picking up what you’re throw in’ down my friend!

Yes, I have run into a hunter or two who simply weren’t “gun guys”. But the ones I’ve met never had a problem with sport rifles or handguns....they may have thought others are “dumb” for buying them, that those firearms are a waste, but these kind seem to live & let live. I haven’t met any hunters trying to get AR’s or handguns BANNED, I mean.

Now I don’t use the word...”fudd”? I’m not all that familiar with it...but I get what it means. However, if any of us come across a person who has spent the past thinking AR’s are a waste and shouldn’t be around, but have recently changed their minds and purchased their own AR....well, we should not point a finger and rebuke these people! Rather, we should extend a hand and welcome them to the fold. We should commend them for at last seeing the truth, and the “Correct way of thinking” when it comes to firearms. Do not ridicule. Simply use the knowledge we have to make the case for sporting/defensive firearms. And for the ones who still want nothing to do with certain firearms..well, that is their right. And they should be respected by us.

I built in the 80s. My lower was a casting. Now it looks ugly but then it was beautiful. I couldn’t afford a new Colt and I wanted push pins not screws. I thought about swapping out lowers but they are a part of the history. The story of the AR15 in America.

I had a friend who bought one of those Colt AR civilians back then. You can’t imagine the joy it brought him. I sill see his smiling face as he held it in his back yard. Shooting at a stump.

    Those were the days

I get what you’re saying to some extent. Those jumping on the bandwagon. But I’ve come across that more than a couple times over the years. I started building AR15s in ‘05....pretty much the beginning of the “build culture”. I remember being among Spikes Tactical’s FIRST customers, and many people on the forums telling me I was crazy for buying a stripped receiver from a “new” & un-verified company! Can you imagine? People not trusting Spikes Tactical?? I remember when I was one of the only people using a free float 4-rail Handguard, while almost everyone was using m4 plastics. Or using the YHM Phantom 5C2 Flashhider on my first builds, while again, pretty much everyone used an A2 birdcage. Fast forward a few years & Spikes is among the MOST trusted suppliers, and every other build has a rail & 5C2 Flashhider! Hmm! I would think to myself. LOL!

Just how things are. People change their minds & habits all the time. Just do a search for people who were once flamin LIBERALS, and are now respectable conservatives.
