I don’t own an AR ....I AM NOT A FUDD ,I didn’t buy an AR recently.

I bought accessories and ammo . Put a 25 mm red dot on my Henry Big Boy Carbine .44 mag also got 1k rnds of 240 gr SJHP .

Got 24 more enbloc clips for my Garand and loaded em up in 3 surplus bandoliers

Got new peep sights for my Marlin .22 and 3k rnds .

Loaded all my spare stripper clips @ 500rnds for my SKS

If I can’t do it with the above I will go and get an AR.

I bought a box of 223 yesterday at a LGS. Limited to 1 box per caliber, bought a couple calibers and 3 PMAGs and had to make an appointment for it. He claimed the Governer said I can make an appointment to BUY, not to come in and look.

Anyways when I asked about 5.56 also and the guy on the phone said, "I have 223. 223 and 5.56 are the same thing."

You have a Garand...that alone gets you the secret handshake to get into the SpeakEasy, I will surely send my AR's down the road before the Garand, if I ever needed to make the choice
