You could easily start with a WTB ad right here. It's free and easy.

Do you mean Winchester 88? Used to have a couple, real nice rifles. The Winchester 1895 was used by the military for a while.

The Savage 99 series was the classic magazine lever gun for hunters for many years. The original 303 Savage chambering was a breakthrough when it first came out.

IANAL. I don't give legal advice. I'm only stating my OPINION.
(Did I really need to say that on an Internet forum? LOL)

That explains why I had trouble finding it but I did, thanks for the help.

In addition to what is probably a Sears branded Win 95 in .30-30 (I haven't dug it out yet) I also have a Savage 99E in .308 that you stuff about five rounds in through the top of it. I was shooting that a couple of weeks ago for the first time.

I have a 1953 Winny 94 in .32 WS. It wreaks of Americana. I love it. Current 94's are Japanese made and VERY good albeit expensive.

I have several 99 Savages. None have the removable magazine. (newer models). Most on the forum know this but for the OP, the older Savage 99's use a rotary magazine feed which allow the shooter to use any spitzer design bullet they want without fear of chain firing when your rounds are stacked end to end in a tubular magazine.
I have a 308, 30-30 and 2 in 300 savage. Obsolete calibers were the 25-35, 32-40 and 38-55 along with 22 Hi-Power, 250-3000, 243's, 303 Savage, 7mm-08 and the hard to find 284 Winchester, 358 Winchester and 375 Winchester. Very accurate lever guns and they have a look all their own. I wouldn't own any other lever gun unless I would want one in a pistol caliber. For the OP, take a look at them and read about their history before jumping on a lever action purchase. They are sweet!

I have a Winchester 88 in .308. It was my wife's grandpa's hunting gun and according to her dad he usually did pretty well with it. I shot it once and I was getting some 2moa groups without any load variety (just basic hunting ammo). It's not 100% reliable with feeding but it's my deer gun now.
