    I heard rumor that if you are essential and worked through this whole time you wouldn't get a check. Though through everything I've read I've not been able to confirm the rumor as everything says the checks are totally based on income and not on if you worked or not during this time period.

    Edit: To be clear I don't make a whole lot being an armed security guard(roughly $40K on a good year). If I were to file single or jointly with my wife, my income is below the cap. If my wife were to file single she would be above or very close to the cap.

    Doesn't seem likely since the check is based on your AGI from your 2018 returns.
