Nice!!
I'm kind of impressed.
Heavy, ugly, but rather rugged!

Not sure if by the rugged design of a hi-point or the rugged design of a zip tie.Last edited by P89; April 19th, 2020 at 07:06 PM.

Re: Hi-Point destruction day!
demolition ranch does some amazing torture tests to Hipoints. He still makes fun of them but seriously... they are unfreaking believable. He packed the barrels with RTV, Spray foam and concrete. He even shot them a few times, still racked and chambered the ammo

Re: Hi-Point destruction day!
Hi-Points take a beating. They are like the fat girl of the gun world. They get a bad rap for being cheap, fat, ugly and heavy. However at the end of the day they get the job done.
Years ago I worked at a gun shop and they bought everything., including box lots. I built several Hi-points from parts piles in a box and they all worked. They ate ever ammo put in them. So like I said, cheap, fat, ugly and heavy, but they work.Aggies Coach Really ??? Take off the tin foil bro.

Re: Hi-Point destruction day!
As far as the barrel obstructions go...
While I don't doubt that Hi Points are better put together than people think, I think the operating mechanism has at least some part to do with it. Being straight blowback/not a locked breech, the action is going to open faster under higher pressure (with risk of catastrophic damage to the case), and ultimately the pressure will be relieved through the ejection port often faster than it can build up to cause damage.
