    Default Hornady 10th

I was wondering if anyone that has the 10th edition (think that's the newest) could check if .308, .223, and 30-30 loads have cfe223 data. I don't want to buy it if it doesn't have the new powders.
    Thanks.

Hornady 10th, CFE223 Yes for .308 and .223, No for .30-30 (it's just one step slower than BL-C(2))

    5.56 has CFE 223 loads for 55gr, 60gr, 68gr, 70gr, 73-75gr, and 80gr bullets.

    .308 Winchester has CFE 223 loads for 150-155gr, 165-168gr, 195gr, and 220gr bullets.

30-30 Winchester doesn't list any loads for CFE 223.

    Hope that helps.

You are better off looking at other reloading books. Hornady groups bullets with the same weight together but they include different styles (FMJ, RN, HP, flat base and BT....etc) So you might have 3-6 different bullets listed but only one "max load" listed for all. Everyone knows max loads need to be worked up separately depending on the bullet types and seating depth. Expect their "max" load to be way under velocity for most of the bullets listed. The one bullet that generates the highest pressure might be close to the stated velocities but this is doubtful too. The new Hornaday manuals are very conservative.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. I appreciate the information guys. Thank you. It seemed close to varget and with that out of stock I bought two lbs. Hodgdon lists it for all of them but different bullet than I need for 30-30... same type obviously. Im not very adventurous with reloading and try to match exact bullets. Mainly the hornady interlocks for 08's and 50 grain hp for 223 but want to try the v-max.
    Thanks again,
    Bj

Can you find Leverevolution powder, it works great for the 30-30.

I cant locally, I could order it. I like the multi cal. powder option. It's basically varget, 4831, cfe223, cfe blk. Since I can't find varget anywhere I was looking to sub cfe 223 as a do most.... just in case given the current state of everything. The numbers are awesome w the lever though.
