I'll add that this isn't always 100% fool proof. I should always but neglect to sometimes crack each egg into a small ramekin first before adding to other eggs or recipes. Learned the hard way last night when mixing up some scrambled eggs and found a sinker that was still slightly off after I cracked it into the batch. These were day or two old eggs that had cracks that weren't going to be added to the rest of the solid eggs for storage that passed the float test.

I keep ducks for eggs, love duck eggs. Went out today and no eggs, I been getting one, sometimes two, a day for past two weeks. If someone saw me talking to the ducks today, "WTF, where's my egg?"

When I was a teenager, my brother had a few ducks and every day we would have their eggs for breakfast. They were big and delicious, and most with double yolks.

We got the first duck eggs of the season a couple of weeks ago. The very first few were black on the outside, but were perfectly good eatin'. We're getting 4-6 per day. I don't know how many ducks we have. Ms Grip is in charge of poultry; my job is predator, building, electricity and water infrastructure management.

We have a neighbor who bakes a lot, and she loves the duck eggs. I did a blind scrambled egg taste test with our daughter, and she preferred the duck over the chicken eggs. If you're cooking them sunny side up or over, you may need to modify your method a little. In my experience with our ducks, the chalaziferous white part of the egg is a bigger and thicker part of the total white and requires just a little more cooking. I like to spoon hot bacon grease over it from the start of cooking.
Boy, I say boy, you're reaching the limits of my medication!

We used to love our turkey eggs as well when we had birds. Similar size to the duck eggs.

    Eggs can also be dehydrated.

I have never been willing to try this.

Scramble them, cook them and lay them on a pan in the freezer and they'll freeze dry for ya.
