I have two UV-5R's from a while ago and some old ass FMS radios. I know there is a CB in the basement somewhere with a broken power wire that could be fixed.

I dont know how to say this politely through text without it sounding or coming off as snarky.

I dont care about those regulatory taxman bullshit laws right now. Sorry and shit lol.

This is not a good price.
go to radioddity.com or click on the link below for better prices, usually with $10.00 off if you give and email addy.

    https://www.radioddity.com/collectio...rice-ascending
it looks like they have the same radio listed for $29.99
But you have to use their software to bring the UHF freq up from 480.000 to 520.000
Not difficult to do. it give direction on the site. https://www.radioddity.com/collectio...-two-way-radio

for those who want to listen in on local air traffic, police, fire, ems, ect
click on this link below, it will take you to a page on the www.radioreference.com web

    https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?stid=42

Click on your state, then scroll down to your county and click on it. scroll down and
the page will show you all the law enforcement, municipal , schools, airport frequencys.
the freqs with the higher numbers ( such as 500.66250) are UHF ( ultra hi freqs)
the frqs with the lower numbers ( such as 154.34000 ) are the VHF ( very hi freqs.)

if you buy a baofeng, make sure it has the upper UHF above 500
    like
Frequency Range: 136-174 / 400-520 MHz or learn to hack it in chirp like i did on you tube.
And for gods sake buy the $6.99 programing cable.

Guys please be careful with your detailed instructions. You wouldn't post detailed instructions on how to cut down a rifle barrel, so please don't play in the grey area of Communications law, we're better than that here. This case was a HAM operator, but there are others who have been prosecuted, some here in PA http://www.arrl.org/news/fcc-finds-n...-000-to-16-000

Sorry I am a bit slow replying things have been a bit crazy around here with Wolfe's announcement but this was exactly what I was looking for. I found radio reference.com and after some searching it looks like northumberland county is still all analog so I could get away with a cheap scanner for now and then upgrade to the more expensive digital one in the future. Dropping the coin on a digital one right now just isn't in the cards. Definitely looking in CB as well I have been meaning to put one in my jeep for awhile now.

    Thanks again!

I have 2 or 3 base scanners that are analog that I'd be willing to part with.

If you feel like dealing with shipping it shoot me a pm, I would rather not travel if I don't have to at the moment.
