Exclamation Lawfully licensed NJ security guard arrested

Not sure if previously posted if so Mod's delete !

ROSELLE PARK, NJ – -(AmmoLand.com)- On February 8, 2020, armored car security guard Roosevelt Twyne was returning home from work when he was stopped by three Roselle Park police officers for alleged side-tinted windows on his vehicle.

Twyne advised and showed the officers that he has a New Jersey Permit to Carry a Handgun, and informed the officers that he was coming home from his employment as an armored car security guard and was, in fact, one block away from his home.

Twyne’s Permit to Carry a Handgun specifies the Smith & Wesson handgun that he was carrying at the time of the stop. Twyne also possesses a SORA (Security Officer Registration Act) Card, a New Jersey Firearms Purchaser Identification Card, and lawfully purchased/registered his handgun with a New Jersey permit to purchase.

Ammunition lacking a hollow cavity at the tip, such as those with polymer filling, are not considered to be hollow point ammunition. An example of this can be seen with the Hornaday Critical Defense / Critical Duty, Car-Bon PowRball / Glaser Safety Slug and Nosler Inc. Defense ammunition.” (Emphasis added.)

Innocent people frequently get arrested. Charges will be dropped and he'll go on his merry way. Unless the 'white officers stopping a black man' strategy is pushed.

Why would he even tell them he was armed? There is no duty to inform in NJ.
Why three officers? Isn't that overkill for tinted windows?
How is it DWB if he had tinted windows that did not allow anyone to see into the vehicle?
    And
NJ permit to carry specifies the exact gun you are allowed to have?

The police don’t care, let the courts sort it out. It costs them nothing.

One more example why police should lose qualified immunity. These 3 NJ brownshirts ought to be paying his lost wages and his legal fees from their personal bank accounts.
Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God.

When I received my first PA LTCF, in 1985, the License had 3 spaces for; 1) Make & Model of Weapon, 2) Caliber, and 3) Serial No.

Back then, the LTCF were for 1 year, when I renewed in 1987 (switched to 5 years then) The Sheriff did me a solid.

As such, I am not the least surprised NJ may require such information.

While moving recently, I found some of my old carry permits, so I attached 2 (edited) from the "old days".

Nothing 'merry' about having to deal with it in the first place. If anything, maybe a ticket for the window tint, but if all of the many 'permission' slips were valid and in order he shouldn't have had to deal with the hassle at all. That would have been going on his merry way.

About the ammo, while I’m glad NJ doesn’t consider it a hollow point, isn’t it technically still a hollow point? I was under the impression that their polymer filling on the round was to just prevent clothing from getting jammed in there and thus reducing expansion?
