I went crazy with my new chrony friend!
Copy loads at your own risk. Data is based on 5 rounds fired yesterday. Everything was kept warm inside then brought out one at a time to the chrono pro.
I went crazy for about a half hour shooting everything I have loaded. And I didn’t shoot the chrono!
Trail boss looks like it’s not the most consistent powder but it doesn’t really matter for those loads. I may try to bump up the 308 subsonic speeds now that I have this chrono.
The suppressors added a very small amount of velocity on everything but the AR Comp 5.56 load. Interesting.
Anyone see anything else interesting?
The AR9 didn’t get a suppressor mounted because I have a muzzle brake on it. That is my USPSA PCC gun.
The “various” loads of 5.56 that have inconsistent velocity is just an ammo can I used to toss ammo in as I made it. That was back in the day before I learned the value of keeping track of what is what. There’s 4-6 different loads in that can that all work fine.
Overall my 5.56 loads look a little on the conservative side which is fine. They are just range rounds for fun time.In America arms are free merchandise such that anyone who has the capital may make their houses into armories and their gardens into parks of artillery. - Ira Allen, 1796

Re: I went crazy with my new chrony friend!
Nice chart! You can have a lot of fun with a chrony when you reload your own.
Here's a couple of articles you might find interesting for 9mm and .308. The heavy 9mm sub sonics are fun in a Ruger PC carbine. The .308 loads with H4895 are heavier than the Trailboss loads, and not subsonic, but are fun, accurate, and low recoil.

And how did you get all that data into the spreadsheet?

Re: I went crazy with my new chrony friend!
Interesting articles, thanks for sharing!
I plan to stick with the 147gr 9mm load as it meets all my needs for production handgun and PCC USPSA divisions, quiet fun with the MP5 and Glock 17, and just general range use with great accuracy and function.
The .308 subs I make are pretty much just a novelty. I wouldn’t even mess with them if I had a bolt action .300 Blackout rifle. They’re just for hitting steel with a click, hiss, and a ping on impact.
Wrote it down by hand, then typed it up in excel.

Re: I went crazy with my new chrony friend!
My slightly modified chrono won't allow the rifle to fire unless it is sure it will blot-out the "X" in the 10 ring at any distance out to 1200 meters. Looking to acquire military contracts....

Re: I went crazy with my new chrony friend!
Mine uses a 3.5mm headphone jack (still present on my phone, thankfully). But the new version uses Bluetooth. I'd upgrade to the newer one if I had a good excuse, but mine still works despite the 9mm sized holes...
