I like the Berks and Carbon prices (for housing), but Northampton will probably end up being the location county for me.

Housing in Shamokin is probably reasonable.

RIGHT...but why waste a nice sunny day off from work when you can go fishing?

It all started with Jury duty, first time at the new 'Justice Center' and I noticed that the upper deck would be truck and boat trailer friendly [and free] for my renewal in July.

Last time it was still in the basement of the old courthouse and street parking.

With all the new warehouses and housing developments, I predict this area will soon become under the influence of all the transplants, sad to say.

Is there a specific area of Berks county with decent prices and a decent school district? I was looking a little bit in the area west of Allentown, not too far from Kutztown, not too far off of i78 or us222.

Perhaps Hamburg could fit your criteria.

Thank you. I will look in that area. I am trying to balance the challenge of work communte time with cheaper house prices.

Understood. Most people do. I ment to say Hamburg area, not necessarily Hamburg.

My grandkids go to school there. Oley schools are still good from what I hear. Muhlenberg schools went to crap. I live in the Muhlenberg area.
I THINK Schuylkill Valley schools are good (Leesport area).

BYW 22 and 78 can be a crash fest at times.
