Eastwood makes movies and movies cost a lot money up front and there's always the chance of losing money on a film. If he can get a source of money without digging into his own pocket then it's a win for him.

It happens, not to everyone, but certainly to many.
Age, (he's 90 in May) and a lifetime of living in Cali, and association with Hollyweird.

Understandable if he's a bit tetched.

This is nothing new. Clint Eastwood is not 2a friendly and has endorsed and voted for Democrats in the past. He has said in multiple interviews going back to the 70's that he supports gun control. He supported the Brady Bill. He supports an assault weapons ban. He endorsed Pelosi back in 1994.

I guess that all it proves is that Clint is a swing voter.
