Default What if they come for your firearms?

I’ve been wondering, does the state know what firearms I have? Hypothetically if “they come for my guns” and I say I don’t have any, do they know if I have any or not under the laws we currently have? Can they come in and search my property without a warrant? Just a few things that I think about ...

The police will know all the handguns you have that were bought in PA via state police registry of sale. Long guns are not on that registry. If someone isn't suppose to have a gun I don't know if the state police registry alone is enough for them to get a search warrant because the registry doesn't contain addresses.
Red flag laws are not in place here in PA so if one does pass or pass on a federal level a lot would depend on how the law is written.

If that situation should occur I would advise not to consent to any search, ask if they have a warrant and lawyer up, if they have no warrant tell them to leave.

Promptly start video ASAP. Stream to a cloud service if possible. If things go sideways, it's the best way to show you were not a "crazy", id bet the body cam footage would be deleted or "not turned on" during unlawful search & seizure.

Supposedly they are 1.5-2years behind on entering data. Plus even if you sold a pistol it doesnt come off your list of guns

You know what .... and this is just my theory.
When that day comes ......they will be assuming you have firearms unknown to them.
And just because you hand them the ones they may know of ..... won't matter.
And until they check every keester in the house and abuse you enough to talk ........ they'll assume they are missing some.
Just my opinion ... so why worry , right?

They are running about 18 months behind on entering new handguns into the registry.

They may know how many you've purchased, but not how many you own. I have parents, grandparents, children and grandchildren. It's possible we've gifted each other many firearms that have been recorded by FFL dealers over the years.

    just sayin...

I really have a hard time seeing any type of law enforcement going "door to door" for confiscation anytime soon. There are just too many armed citizens out there to make that feasible, and quite frankly i would have to assume a sizable population of our LEO is on our side, not theirs. We all know the warnings of 1933 Germany to allow that to happen. Their only play here is through legislation - by slowly chipping away at our rights and brainwashing Americans that they're right until we finally get to a point where the majority of Americans don't believe in gun ownership and are unarmed already. We have to stay vigilant and ensure our message is as loud (and louder!) than theirs. This would take a long time, but something tells me they won't quit and neither should we.
