They are running about 18 months behind on entering new handguns into the registry.

I have some doubt that they are that far behind in the PSP registry of sale. I could believe they got behind during the buying panic of 2013. I suspect that the system is not up to date in real time, but 2 years behind? If this is true why hasn't this been reported in the mainstream media? It would be an embarrassment for the PSP commissioner and the media loves to embarrass police.

probably depends on how many doors before everyone is out of work on comp claims.
people forget you are allowed to build guns, like from scratch, and some people will build "anything" they can keep hidden, law be damned. there is no way for them to know what resistance they may encounter but they will be using any clues they have to go on. any database relating to firearms that they might be able to get their hands on will be used even if that requires them kicking in a few FFL doors to obtain logs of purchases.
they start going door to door and you can assume all law and order is out the window and like in any war, only the losers will eventually be held accountable for their actions.
i'm still fairly certain this would be done with outside forces with the aid of some nations that share like minded dreams of totalitarianism. we just don't have nearly enough enforcers and much fewer that would be willing to do it.
    make sure 2A isn't a loser.

To be frank with you …… I assume many , as I believe bodies come extremely cheap to politicians.

Few months ago I had a call from the PSP about a serial number they couldn't read on the Application/Record of Sale Form (SP4-113), at the time of the phone call I filed that form 18 months beforehand, and when I asked them about the delay they said, "We are running a little behind."

Just remember you do not have to open your front door to talk to the police and they do not get to come inside with out a warrant in hand at the time.
