That makes no sense - it must be popular if its been in their catalog for that long. The only other revolver that may be longer is the model 85. Personally I wish Taurus would just write me a check instead and be done with it - but they refused.
Back when the 605 first came out the wife got one , stainless 357.
She put a lot of 38's through it ,I put some mags through it , lock up wasn't the tightest I ever seen.
It shot very well for me but I do shoot a lot of double action snubs.
Glare from the stainless sight picture was worse than others?
One day the hammer stopped coming back while DA shooting.
They did fix it in what I recall being a decent time frame.
Kept it for awhile and then she decided to sell it for something else.

    A "Private Ranger"?
Are you sure you are even allowed to be here?
Come with me sometime and I'll take you around some ranges and you can go slummin'
See how the other half live
Don't be afraid , stay close and keep the car doors locked.
I had a friend and I remember him once telling me …..
The happiest day of his life was when he used the backhoe and piled up the back stops on his his own range.

I've been to a few ranges.

    I haven't been back.

It'll ruin all the great times we will be spending together.
The thought of sharing you with another makes me angry.
    I'm getting a bit older...
I can't remember where you said it was??
A map would probably be even better
Ahhh, there's the rub. See my location. My range is behind enemy lines.

Oh man , I figured you bailed after my last post , got scared off
I went shooting Sunday , Given the nice weather that day .... I have to blame myself I should've known better
But man, making the trip after that would be almost worth it.
If I really want a range alone , my hunting club "for lack of a better word" does have a dual lane range out to 300yds that rarely sees usage but it is further away drive time than any of the shooting ranges I have a membership at.
I rolled the dice and took my chances Sunday

I ordered a pair of wooden revolver grips for my M65 on January 21st. Prior to that, I asked on their chat line to confirm that these grils would fit that model because all the descriptiin says is "medium revolver". I was told that they would fit.

    The grips finally arrived today.

    They don't fit.

I have half a mind to sell this fע#ing gun, despite loving it, just because I hate Taurus so very badly at the moment.

I've seen crack whores with better customer service.

I absolutely HATE Taurus! I sent a 605 back to them years ago because the cylinder locked up! I asked for a detailed assesment and repair. I got the gun back with no explanation as to what was wrong and what they fixed. I called several times to get an answer and got nothing but a runaround! I never trusted that gun afterwards! I sold it at a loss!

Taurus can go fornicate themselves as far as I'm concerned! I'll never own another one! I have one that I got from my Dad after he died. it is a M44 44 magnum model. I want to let it go but struggle with the guilt since Dad owned it.

But....he only shot it a time or two. I may just try to dump it!

Taurus has had many defective handguns. Above link outlines why you do not hear of them.
I wouldn't believe anything published by Bloomberg news when it comes to anything firearms related.

Taurus didn't get it's horrible reputation for terrible quality and even worse customer service for nuthin'!

''But it's a good gun for the price, right?'' is the usual retort.

    NO!!!

Anyone who still buys one of their POS with all the negative press they've been getting for 40yrs deserves to have it shoved up their ass dry.

Actually, Taurus was pretty good back in the day, I think only the last 25 years or so, has their quality and service gone downhill. Back when the PT 92 & 99 were the primary products I knew a lot of folks who did well with them. Same with revolvers from that time period.
