    Smile High capacity magazines

If I take all my 20 and 30 round ar15 magazines and permanently mark .458 SOCOM on them, do I now have 7 and 10 round magazines?

    In Pennsylvania YES.

In NJ or other affected states a judge will decide at your trial.

Preferably a judge with zero knowledge of guns and accessories, so his judgment will be unbiased.

what determines capacity and what is considered high? if any firearm comes with a magazine it is standard capacity for that firearm regardless of how much ammunition it holds.

The key word is "capacity"....no matter what you mark it....it still has the capacity to hold over 10 rounds.

You can jam a lot more than 10 rounds of .22 lr in a 7 round 1911 magazine

True, but it's cheaper to just buy an ammo can.

My PA mags are as designed by the handgun maker. My PRNJ mags have silver-painted floor plate release buttons for an at-a-glance verification they are the allowed, permitted capacity mags specially purchased in response to the TAs (Trenton Assholes). Make that assholes. They don't deserve upper case.
