3000 rounds in and rifle runs like a dream, and shoots 1.3 MOA @ 300 yards with steel case ammunition.

Generation 3 has all forged parts (bolt, carrier, front and rear trunions) )with a 4150 nitrated barrel and they run very very well.

buddy of mine picked up a used gen2 today for $500, looks brand new, previous owner said 300rds through it... black poly furniture... and it had a cleaning rod

was curious if he made out with a good deal or not; if not what parts might he grab to harden it? it appears that gen1, gen2, gen3 parts are all compatible

$500.00 is a bit high in my opinion since they sold for $499.99 for a blem and $550.00 for a standard with upgraded furniture models for a bit more. They are good rifles from what I've seen and it should hold up well, PSA has a lifetime fully transferable warranty so if there are any issues they will fix it fast so I wouldn't change anything other then the round count.

The new GF3's start out at $599.99, but blems can be had a few times a month for $550.00. I definitely would like to add one of theirs to my collection, hopefully one of their CHF offerings.
