Exactly, we're all a part of your hellish nightmare afterlife. My apparently annoying post, the weekend coming to an end, the rising cost of ammunition, they're all signs that this is actually hell.

Me too! My wife says the same thing. Kind of like when you're kicking or punching in slow motion to demonstrate something, trying NOT to hurt someone but that's the only thing you can do.

Yes, and either I can't find any ammo or my pistol jams.

It took a long time to get rid if those dreams, but occasionally they still pop up.

I've had dreams like that too, where I get killed.
Then I wake up to my girlfriend threatening me with a steak knife.
    It's always such a relief.

Had one this morning just before waking.

I was with two guys and we were walking through a junkyard with lots of pretty well intact 50s, 60s, and 70s vehicles, plus some I'd never seen before (probably British). I was carrying a wide, narrow clear glass vase full of a liquid that we needed to pack and ship to someone, and these guys started acting funny, talking pro left, making disparaging remarks about people who weren't "with" (whomever) the powers that be were, etc. I wasn't carrying, but both of them were printing handguns.

I got closer to the one guy, and could tell they were near to either jumping me or drawing, so I flicked the liquid contents of the vase in the close guy's face, then tossed the vase at the other guy. I jumped behind the guy I splashed and held him in front of me while pulling his gun from under his t-shirt. The other guy started shooting and the guy in front of me absorbed the shots. I shot around the wounded guy at the shooter, and immediately went wide awake.

Usually in a shooting or fighting dream (which are rare) I am either unarmed, have no ammo, or have a "4000 lb" trigger pull as mentioned above. Usually.

However, in the past two or three years a few times the trigger pull got more like normal and I've had ammo and I recalled the gun firing, but I always wake as I fire.
