clay bird, trap thrower recommendations please
Considering getting an auto thrower. Something one person could run and shoot.
Have an old manual thrower that has seen its better days and thinking of upgrading.
Looking for something reliable, sturdy and worth the bucks.
Any info, ideas, or suggestions appreciated.
Thanks in advance. It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

Mec makes some nice 12v models. Rochester Sportsman has been using them for a few years now on their sporting clays range. They are around 2k new. Probly find one around 1k used. Dont know if your looking to spend that much.

Take a look at the Promatic Pigeon trap. We have 4 of them and throw 5 to 7 cases a week from each of them. A few problems in the beginning but pretty good for $500.

For casual/backyard Trap, I use a Trius foot operated machine. One or two is at a time.
It is no big deal for me to operate it by myself.

NOT the Do-All Outdoors White Wing Automatic Trap.
Damn thing broke the arming motor after only 8 outings, and the motor costs more than half the damn unit did.

My old neighbor had three Champion throwers with the side to side motion option, all mounted on a trailer with car batteries. We would wheel it our to fields and blast for hours and never had an issue with any of them.
