    Nice gun. Check shows for an original ejector rod end (the old ones are smooth) which might be in a misc box of parts. You never know. Original grips are plastic and are tough to find though there are replacements made. A bit on the shiny side but will be closer to original.

    Never shoot 38 specials in it though they may fit. I've had 2 with blown forcing cones that got replacement barrels over the years from people doing that. I've had the best results with soft lead hollow base bullets with a few grains of unique or bullseye. 38LC loads from some of the bigger names are made with hard lead and I've seen those tumble (bullet shaped hits instead of holes )though you might be fine with your barrel slugging to .358. The old colts are a blast. Now you need to get one in 41 LC.
