Can't add anything for the .357 but I have a lever gun in .41 magnum and a DA & SA revolvers each in .41. It is a great combo in the woods having a rifle and revolver in the same caliber, and yes fun as hell. If by some unthinkable reason semi autos went away, I would not feel under gunned with a lever gun and revolver combo for home defense

I am always on the lookout for a used deal on a .357 lever gun to be a companion to my .357 revolver, I have a 22lr lever and single six combo also

    Are you high? LOL

This is one, handy, compact carbine that hits everything I point it at.
I have no second thoughts about using it for home defense.

Pairs perfectly with a revolver and 16" barrels make .357 ballistics shine. Or shoot .38sp loads that feel like .22s.

Being manually operated, in some states it is probably just easier to legally own.

This is something a lot of folks don't take into consideration. Should the day come that we lose the fight and they ban all evil black rifles, a lever gun may be our only high capacity rifle for personal defense. It's worth owning at least one....preferably seven.

Deer hunting, woods gun, black bears, self defense.....not sure what your after here. I cant imagine through a longer barrel with the proper load its much less powerfull then a 30-30.

Jurors have fewer prejudices about John Wayne guns than they do about Rambo guns. If you have to kill to protect your family some night, an old lever action rifle might do the job with less chance of a rogue DA trying to make his career on ruining your life.

    What about this one?

all you get is ridicule, laughter,
