"I was just following orders" hasn't been a valid excuse since 1945.

There is a hard banging on my door.
Me : Who is it ?

Them: It's the police. Let us in.

    Me: no.

Police: We just want to talk.

Me: How many of you are there ?

Police : Three, we just want to talk......

    Me: Talk among yourselves.
God Bless the American Armed Forces, Thank You All.

I would've asked, are you ordered to be here? Is this your jurisdiction? What is the name who filed a complaint, because my attorney will want to question.
You came long distance, do you guys need to go to the bathroom? You can use the out-house over yonder. Like talking to ya, but I got errands to do.

This is very much like that citizen in New Zealand who publicly commented on the proposed gun confiscation laws there. The government combed through the testimony and found that he had admitted to owning a now banned .22 cal lever action rifle. A SWAT team showed up held him and his family and searched for it. They did not find it and then threatened to search the homes of his other friends and family.

This was an intimidation tactic to chill the 1st Amendment at best and certainly a precursor of what to expect when Red Flag laws take root. In another few months when Northam signs the gun control bills, these same police will be back to seize whatever firearms this Virginian may own. Police will enforce unconstitutional laws. Period. Second Amendment activists will be among the first to be targeted.

Since you were not from VA they could not visit you.

Seems that Northam got to create his phony crisis, suspend constitutional rights and liberties, chill the exercise of 1st Amendment rights and get the Virginia Supreme Court to clear cut the Constitution for him. It is like he got his equivalent of the Reichstag fire, without the fire.
