I did when I outgrew my fancy gun cabinet! Didn’t know the value of my collection but I knew I needed something else!
Have a good sized National and never regretted the purchase!

I did not consider the cost/value of the firearms when I purchased my safe. I did it because the kid was getting old enough to become curious about EVERYTHING that he could lay his tiny crumb snatching mitts on. That was nearly 20 years ago and I never once regretted the purchase.
We the people love our country so let the government fear us.

I did not spend $2K on my safe, but it also was close to 35 years ago. May not be as high end as some of the current offerings, but provides a bit of peace of mind.
Made the investment once I bought my first house, and wanted a secure storage area for assorted valuables. Originally, my camera equipment was likely more expensive than my guns, but that has since changed.Illegitimus non carborundum est
