Erie, Walker Precision, $20 transfer. Chris Haines. He doesn't sell guns, so doesn't gouge. $40 to ship a pistol. Or, if you belong to Keystone Gun Club, the prez does transfers for $10.

Exactly! If your shop has customers lining up out the door to buy guns, and you make more money on guns than transfers (don't know profit margins on guns), I can see how it might be annoying. But the local shops aren't that busy and transfers are typically quick and easy.

Anything over $30 and I'll go elsewhere. There is plenty of FFLs that do transfers for a reasonable price, I like to give them my business.

Find one of those small local FFLs and go through them. I use a guy near Downingtown. Charges $20 for NRA members $30 for the rabble.

Go to Gunbroker.com and check out the "Find an FFL" listings under the Buyers listings near the bottom of the page. Type in your zip code and a list of local FFLs will be displayed. Shop and compare, I have 2 local FFLs I have used and both were easy to deal with. Good luck.
