People may need to bring more depending on how many will show up.

Depends on the end mill. What size is it? I can probably bring a couple of carbide ones that would last hundreds of lowers, assuming nobody tries to feed it too hard and breaks it.

I believe you re-sharpen the mill, but that may not be expeditious if people are waiting.

HSS would be less brittle than carbide, but I doubt we will need to re-sharpen in any reasonable time frame.

I was thinking my jig would need replaced after the event. I thought I once read that they're good for 3 lowers in a review.

Maybe I should charge a use fee like Tom Wolf does to replace it at the end of the day.

Somebody has to ask 'em!! It sounds like you have it covered with the machine and the vise, the air, and the drill bits. Yeah, I don't think it's really feasible to sharpen end mills. I will do a bit of research on the speeds recommended for each size of bit or end mill. From what I saw on the videos, if one is not careful, the jig can get boogered up around the guide slot, so whoever has the jig must be prepared for it to be sacrificed. Of course, I am willing to split the costs for a jig, if it gets ruined. Probably there should be a second jig available anyway, just in case.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Since the jig MIGHT be considered a consumable item in this operation...if people chip in $10 to use it, the replacement would probably be mostly covered.

Hope I'm not coming off as an ass, but $135 to use it once myself wouldn't exactly be a deal...and I'd be saving every person $135 from not buying a jig of their own.

Everyone that uses the mill can chip in for the cost of a quality set of bits.

We could use an experienced estimate of the time it will take to mill a lower on Walleye's milling machine.
