Ok, I just watched the instructions video for the Easy Jig Gen2.

    https://www.80percentarms.com/produc...-80-lower-jig/

This jig is about $250, but it won't be consumed for casual use. I'd say it should last dozens of lowers at a minimum. It is designed for use with bushing that won't damage the jig when cutting. The drilling may potentially consume the sides if people are careless, but not quickly.

Since everybody needs to do the work themselves, this would be the system I recommend. I'll happily get it, and say charge $20 or $30 bucks to use it. This would be good to use for years, and should be easy for not very skilled people to use.

Does this sound good to everybody? We can probably mill a lower in about 1/2 an hour or less with a little practice.

If we do it when we still need the torpedo heaters, you have an even chance of watching me set my ass on fire when I'm trying to stay warm.

You're gonna steak and lobster for lunch right? Then it wouldn't be so bad if things don't work out.

We can't charge people to do this.
We can all chip in and buy a jig.

Similarly we can't pay Walleye for using his shop.
We can bring along food and other comforts that he may also enjoy with us.

That would make it easier to deal with.

Let's see what for jigs we have, the other guy has one and we should be able to get together in a week or two and give things a try.

Got it. Thinking a little more about it, I'll get it and just let PAFOA people use it. Should keep it cleaner that way then. If nobody objects, I'll get it tonight, and a lower to try a test run with.

It will be good for AR-15, AR-9, and .308, so most lowers we might want to use.

I've been blessed by support from this forum and I'm happy to pay it forward.

If we get raided by Shapiro, you will all get away. I won't be able to run.

He'll likely want to come over during the week on short notice, others are welcome to come and learn if they want.

Alpaca already has one so don't spend it if you don't need it.
If you go ahead with it I will chip in anyway.
    Your call.
