I have flown in commercial and military air planes … along with a military chopper ride that gave me a tiny bit of concern at the beginning of it.
However , my comment "somewhat in jest" about an extra 10 pounds ….. means I'd like to think it'd take more than a little extra 10 pounds to make us go down and would like a larger safety margin.

Yeah, 10 lbs one way or the other is obviously not a big deal but when you start to load any bird up you need to keep track of what's going into it. Excess wt won't necessarily keep one from taking off but gaining altitude once your up gets tougher as wt increases and it's surprising how noticeable 100 lbs is.

    I Understand that.
Granted you have an actual plane …. the guy I mentioned had a go-kart with wings.
I could probably eat 10 pounds when I feel like it.
My pap used to have a wing/prop plane , my uncle had or maybe still does have a plane …. he and my aunt would go to other states for breakfast in it???
My brother briefly piloted commercial airliners and then became an instructor.
If I got on a plane and either my uncle or brother was behind the wheel …. I'd want out.
Neither one of them are able to adequately use simple hand tools.
If I was to fly again … I want that guy who landed on the Hudson River.
You know , some guy capable of doing what needs done.
Not my brother who can't get the chain back on his bicycle.

I has no idea what a mini mike is

I like Blooms but I thought this was even a little better show than normal.
    Crowded before and during lunch.
Always some place to park in such a large place but never seen the lots this crowded , rear lot behind the buildings when I pulled in was almost full the entire way to the fences in both directions and It did fill up before I walked away from my spot
Folks were buying lots of firearms...…… tax refunds maybe?
Guys always asking about ammo cans ….. surplus guy outside sold out of $5 .50 cals before noon ….. I think he said he had 175 of those.
Sometime later he sold out of his $5 .30cal cans.
Seen $50 out the door AR stripped lowers clam packed Andersons.
Seen numerous decent prices of some firearms and gun show prices on others obviously.
The bulk ammo guy along back wall in the food building did not seem to have as much as normal?
Got asked once about my Yinz man purse.
Lot less kojaks with kodaks on the run up to this area this time.
Had a good time but another long day.

Oh , no didn't see mini mikes.
GOA was there actively pursuing sign ups which is good.
I have extremely low interest in 80 percenters.
I do not see how that does anything for me I can not do other ways …..
However , I think it's good to have options for those who do want them.
Oaks is in my plans for popping my cherry next year.

Can't argue with that except that 80% lower plus cheap kit=$340 AR.

True , you could save 10 bucks … as long as you didn't count the cost of a jig or drill press into the equation.
But a friend with those would save you some $$
But a friend with a FFL can score you at times $40 finished lowers....
Of course , they would be "on the books" so to speak , which IMO doesn't matter as much as some think …. as I related to in another thread....
but still better off then on all things considered I suppose.
And some folks just like to tinker with their own stuff and hard to put a price on that …. we all do things who's value to us is above the actual retail price you could say.
    Heck , I don't even like the AR ……..
They get more love from the wife than me around here , partly cause she always was recoil sensitive and they let her makes hits on the 300yd line.
Thank goodness that lady doesn't like $$$$$ calibers.
No fire discipline does she have.
The child thinks I got a money tree out back and the woman thinks I got an ammo FORREST some place.
