Kind of like this show. I typically go every time it comes around because its close to home. Very nice venue, but a little pricey to get in.
    Toujours prÍt

Look at it this way; there's no PGCA show so you aren't spending money on admission to that show.

Went to that show for years since it restarted, it was barely tolerable at the olde/high admission costs, no effing way is it worth $11.00.
Considering Monroeville traffic, maybe the Niles show is the one to hit that weekend. I’m just after ammo and a Mini-14 anyway.
All of my guns are lubed with BACON GREASE.

"Monroeville traffic"??? Where the heck do you live that you think traffic gets bad in Monroeville?
    LOL

Right there with you though on eleven bucks to walk around a gun show.
GROUP SHOOT was last SAT. You missed it. Watch for the NEXT one! (link)

I am looking to buy my first AR-15 and it seems that it is not very easy to find a moderately priced piece in stock. Is there any chance that I would be able to find a decent piece at this show in the $500 - $600 range?

Heck , I'll sell you a brand new never been fired complete one for 600. BUT …. you could do it cheaper yourself.
I am not hearing you need the most space cadet AR on the market ….. so ….. how about buying an upper from PSA , and either buy a complete lower from them which you'll need to use a FFL for …… or just buy the kit and buy a stripped lower from a FFL and stick it together and bingo ….. instant operator.
You'll probably get more for your money that way …. it's no big deal.
I know guys who lick windows and eat crayons and they can do it...…. spend your saved $$ on some ammo
In case you do not know … go to the Palmetto State Armory website and have a look.
If you really really do not want to go this route , that's ok ….. just trying to give what I consider the best advice.

Here , this comes right to your door.
    https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-...cg-and-ch.html

Have a FFL order you this for maybe a $30ish dollar fee
    https://palmettostatearmory.com/comp...c-edition.html

Buy a 10 dollar mag , 30 dollar rear sight or 50 dollar red dot ......

and for about 400 dollars , you'll be rolling in the dirt , screaming "I'm a lead farmer" in no time flat.

There will be sales tax ...... last I heard Active Junky gives you 6% off your PSA order ..... if that is still true ...... the sales tax gets canceled out.
Spend your other 200 bucks on ammo
