Instant Renewal!
Went to the Chester County Sheriff's office today to renew my carry license to carry. The guy who processed my application typed up the card and laminated it on the spot. I was in and out in less than ten minutes. Is this standard procedure now? Every other time I have done this, they mailed it to me in three weeks or so, which meant that I was without a carry license for that period of time. Great customer service, which is not usually the case with government agencies!

Re: Instant Renewal!
Same experience here, went in with an expired LTCF and application in hand and walked out with a new one. Not sure when their process changed, but that's the way it should be!

Re: Instant Renewal!
I have the check as see when I need to renew the licenses for my wife and I, but in Luzerne County, the last time we did it, it took longer to find a parking spot that it took to get them renewed.

Re: Instant Renewal!
That's how it works in McKean Co.! Walk in walk out 10 minutes later.
Just got our 3 month expiration letter yesterday in the mail. All above board and according to Hoyle.
Better, of course, if we didn't need all this falderole in the first place....Marty near God's Country. Making good people defenseless doesn’t make bad people harmless.

Re: Instant Renewal!
Same experience for me in Harrisburg. Went to the sheriff in the court house in the city and he said about getting it all done right now. When I paid it was weird denominations of bills because I was expecting to pay the first part of the fee then the second when picking up and he said its all fine and handled everything right then and there. He also mentioned that there were 23 other people who renewed as well and only one woman had to wait because of some reason he didn't mention. I'm assuming its easier this way for everyone and they figured it doesn't make any difference so why not.
I need a better signature than this...

Re: Instant Renewal!
Standard procedure for Chester County for now. They do have a new Soros Sheriff so we'll see if the prompt renewals are kept standard.

Re: Instant Renewal!
Montco sucks for this. NO same day processing at all. My first LTCF was in Berks. Was in and out in ten minutes.
