I picked up a Ruger Wrangler as a plinker and a dispatch gun when they first came out. Works great as a dispatch gun, but it shoots about a foot below POA at about 10 yards.

well that's not right... give Ruger a call, they'll send you a 2 day label and have it back in a week or two.

The wife came with this German made Burgo 106S in .22L with a 2 3/4" barrel. It looks nickel plated and seems like a nice piece but I haven't played with it yet and can't give a review on it. The cylinder pops open and everything seems tight.

ETA: After some research the Burgo has a similar reputation to the Hi-Point.

I scored a heritage rough rider from Dunhams for $99 a few months back. Keep an eye on their coupon page, I've seen them go on this sale price like three times since I bought mine. Awesome gun for the price.

Thanks for all the input. Looks like an SA Rough Rider is probably the way to go. Not a swing out cylinder, but pretty tough to beat for the price. One shortcoming is the leaving one chamber empty, but again, for the price.

I love my rough rider! I wish I would’ve held out for a model with adjustable sights. 12” barrel looks fun as well.

I may eventually get the upgraded one and let go of my 6” fixed sight model.
Go head, skin it. Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens.

The Heritage RR has a manual safety which prevents the hammer from contacting the firing pin.
Tact is just not saying true stuff. I'll pass.

Used H&R revolvers usually sell for a reasonable price. I saw a 929 with a 6" barrel sell for $110 at an auction Saturday.

Hmm. I perused their owners manual and it strongly stated to have the hammer down on an empty chamber multiple times.
