Default Rifle stock refinishing in the Lancaster-Lebanon area?

I bought a Ruger 10/22 with a distributor exclusive Mannlicher-style stock on it. Ruger must've had water or some sort of contaminant in their varnish when it was applied because it is very milky and hazy. I tried to buff a spot and also used a heat gun to see what would happen. No change. The wood underneath is fine, it's just the clear varnish that is defective. Since it was a distributor exclusive from about 5 years ago, getting a replacement from Ruger is impossible. It will have to be refinished. I'm looking for recommendations for folks that do quality stock refinishing in the Lancaster-Lebanon area.

    Thanks-

    -Ethan.

I'm considering it, but I am also really afraid of messing something up!

    Practice on old furniture first.

Its arredy messed up, so if you make a mistake, sand it off and try again.
