They randomly showed up at my house. I work from home so I am home during the day

Oh my bad. I am just off with sarcasm today since their visit.

I can't blame ya. It's easy to say on the internet, but when the Man shows up unannounced, it can rattle anyone.
Life has a melody. Not great, not terrible.

First thing I'd do is start recording.

So again, I was asking the poster full of bravado if he even owns a firearm or if he’s just armchair lawyering.
Please quote any posts where I made any serious or credible claim not to own a firearm. Otherwise go to bed tonight satisfied that you are the troll that you claim someone else to be and/or you don’t know nearly as much as you think you do, eh?

As long as you lawfully bought the firearm then traded the firearm to a dealer it is simple to tell them that and make them go away. You did nothing wrong.

If they come back or if the firearm is now out of your possession with no FFL paper trail.......do not tell them anything else.

My post was not sarcasm. It was my opinion of the model response in this situation, for just the reasons GL described in a later post.

They are not knocking on your door to do you any favours or for any tangible benefit to you. So don’t provide them with any information that could hurt you. The best way to do that is to not provide them with any information.

They told me they were checking up on the gun because of the store closing and they wanted to verify the serial number bc the paperwork looked like it may have say "8" or "B"

If I wanted to I’d look, but since I know the show post feature only goes back a year I’m not going to bother.

A couple years back around the time when you were asking how to change brakes on your little girls scooter you had commented you didn’t own guns.

So you’re a liar now or were probably one then ya hoser.

That sounds like a load of malarkey to me.
