Ghost Gun - is another made-up name, like Assault Weapon or Saturday Night Special, designed to make firearms scary to the populace.

Proposed law is redundant, "ALBANY — Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo on Thursday said he will propose banning the sale of untraceable "ghost gun" components in New York to individuals who can't legally possess a firearm." If you already a prohibited person, it does not matter where the firearm came from. You can't have one!

Its a ploy at best the reason they are most likely using that statement is due to the fact the atf was very clear as to what does not constitute a firearm. So if they have an 80% lower they are not breaking the law until it's a gun. I'm not agreeing with them in any way and or form,there are better ways to enforce this type of law. This is a straight up registry the are trying to create. What this says is the govt. is out of control with power as they are concerned with the ability of citizens to be able to fight back so they are doing everything in their power to get that list of people to stop first before they turn that state onto a state of slaves.
