Default Re: Colt to reintroduce the Python

No interest in any new snakes. I have a mint Python made in 1962 , paid $550 about 30yrs ago , and I'll continue to shoot it as much as I want. Mostly with .38s , but I have no qualms about running a box or two of my .357 handloads thru it. Same with my .22 Diamondback. I don't consider them investments as I will never sell them unless I know I'm going to die very soon.

If I see 4 1/4 on the street for 1200, 1300 it’s coming home with me. I’m sure some of the big Wholesales will be taking pre orders.

Why not? If someone can't live without one and is willing to part with $3500.00 that is the buyer's problem.

    The Python is back.

Building on Colt’s Snake Gun legacy, the legendary double-action revolver returns in stainless steel in 4.25” and 6” barrel lengths. The 2020 Python features modern stainless steel alloys and a re-designed rear sight. Thirty percent more steel beneath the rear adjustable target sight gives you a stronger revolver and more robust shooting experience. A recessed target crown, user-interchangeable front sight, and Walnut grip with the iconic Colt medallion make this a gun you’ll want to shoot AND show off. The Python is chambered in .357 Magnum and also accommodates 38 Special cartridges.
Colt wants champagne prices for their ware.

The new 32 ACP semi auto that looks like a Colt 1903 is around $1200. I can only imagine what this thing costs.

We're getting into Manhurin Revolver territory. I'm seeing those on gun broker around $3,600.
