You would have to do some engineering to make one that wouldn't break with use.

Nah, it'd last a long time. There was just a release of an AK receiver made from PLA that was up over 1000 rounds and still going. Realistically though it'd only have to last long enough for you to to pick up a "discarded" weapon if things came to it.

i'm sure you could use a cnc table and cut a flat style receiver out of decent steel that either welds or bolts together I've seen them out there which means somewhere I am sure there are files that give the needed dimensions. You'd probably need a little help but the reality is with the right mindset there is no way to prevent free people from wanting to remain so.

In fact the machinist pdf's with measurements are at the bottom of the page

In the mail today was a packet from PSP.

which means non ffl suppliers of what s not legally a firearm will continue to ship them to us. I'd love to see a gun function without the barrel ... you know the thing designed to expel said projectile. The fact that it was stated as such is ridiculous a firearm for the most part requires a vast majority of it's components to operate properly. As for the housing for the trigger mechanism there's plenty of ways to make it go bang without the trigger housing. Either way the AG response as stated is incorrect in the literal sense.
