Doesnt get much more common sense than that.
One of the many problems in our UN-JUST Justice System is the impunity with which prosecutors and judges Completely Mis-carriage Justice on a regular basis. Since there are no penalties applied to these miscreant 'public servants', who in overall consideration are responsible for more crime than any single one of the criminals they release, they repeatedly abuse the immediate victims of the crimes and extend that abuse to the whole of society with their uncaring, unconscionable, callous acts of 'mercy' for the perpetrator!

A grand jury in Texas decided Monday to take no action against a volunteer security guard who shot a gunman dead inside his Fort Worth-area church last December.

Jack Wilson, head of the volunteer security team at West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, killed a man who first opened fire among a more than 260-person congregation on Dec. 29, 2019.
What a goddamn motherfucking waste of resources? Why did they need to convene a grand jury in this incredibly clear case of self defense? This is one of the many reasons why the court system is fucked up. It should never come to that point. The DA that decided it needed to go to a grand jury needs to be removed.

What's going on behind the scenes, that we don't know about? The family may have been pushing for charges, so in order to remove all doubt, the Judge sends it to a grand jury. Think of it as, NOT GUILTY beyond a reasonable doubt, without any charges being filed. Case closed, end of story!

On a side note: This may also help protect the church and security in a civil suit. Perhaps the Judge had an underlying motive, and a good one at that.

I'm glad the Grand Jury got it right .... But ....

It's a sign of the times that the glaring realities that were at one time SELF-EVIDENT must now be analyzed for months before Right & Wrong can be determined. And even then, the determinations many times are SELF-EVIDENTLY WRONG!
