NJ gave Texas church gunman plea deal that wiped out gun felony
https://nj1015.com/nj-gave-texas-chu...ut-gun-felony/
ELIZABETH — The gunman who killed two congregants at a Texas church last month had been charged years earlier with a felony gun offense in New Jersey, where prosecutors later downgraded the crime to a low-level misdemeanor that had nothing to do with firearms.
Since the Dec. 29 shootout at the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas, much has come out about Keith Thomas Kinnunen's criminal record, which seems to follow a pattern: He would get charged with serious, sometimes violent crimes, which later were pleaded down to less-consequential offenses."I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery." Common sense law whose time has come:
Attach any penalty which was plea bargained down to those responsible for said plea bargains. IOW, if a violent criminal is looking at 10 years but is plea bargained down to 2, attach whatever penalties are for the crimes committed in their 8 years to the judge who let the molester out.
Doesnt get much more common sense than that. The USA is now a banana republic. Only without the bananas....or the Republic.

Very surprised that NJ gun possession law addresses whether the gun is functional or not. Wonder if that same missing element can be applied to an 80% piece.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.
