Re: To Legion or not to Legion, that is the question
I did tag the questionable mag with masking tape and set it aside to examine when not at the range.
All 3 mags had some very slight movement when seated and trying to wiggle them. The other two magazine had no issue feeding, and I loaded them up with 15 rounds 3 times each. I also plan on testing feeding with dummy rounds so I can be a little safer when checking out the questionable magazine.
Also, reading through the owner's manual, I see that it says that using any reloads will void all warranties.

Re: To Legion or not to Legion, that is the question
I really should know this (since I've actually made a lot of them) but looking at the light options for the holster, I'm planning on getting the Streamlight TLR-7. But looking at that, and the TLR-8, I'm thinking if I get the TLR-8 sizing in the holster, I could run either the 7 or the 8. I'm not planning on getting a laser with the light, but down the road I might change my mind.
So, holster set up for a TLR-8 should be fine with a TLR-7 light instead? Yes or no?
Thanks!

Re: To Legion or not to Legion, that is the question
Well, I finally brought the questionable mag back to the range when I had time to check it out. I think it is a spring problem. It is much harder to load the last round in the magazine than it is for the other two magazines that came withe the Legion. I use an UpLULA to load my magazines, and all the other P229 mags I need to move the metal scoop bar a little out and then I can slide the last round in without a lot of pressure. Using that method, I can't load the last round in this magazine. I'm sure I'm not trying to add a 16th round, because I'm counting them out ahead of time. I can get the last round loaded by hand. And when I look at it when letting the slide release go it gets the round pushed about 1/3rd to 1/2 way forward, but not enough to actually strip it off the top of the mag before friction stops it.
With 14 rounds, it will properly side forward and strip off a round 2 out of the 3 times I tried.
The feed lips look the same as the other two magazines and I can't find anything else that looks different.
Buy a replacement spring and switch them out? Take it apart and see if the spring is somehow hung up in the magazine and overcompressed?
Just buy a new magazine and toss this one?
I know I should have a few on hand just in case one goes bad and I can swap it out.

Re: To Legion or not to Legion, that is the question
Well, I was getting ready for my trip and decided to take apart the one problem magazine and one that wasn't having problems.
The problem magazine spring is on the right and is about 1/2" longer than the other. I figure that is what is giving it the extra tension. I can get a replacement spring for about $8. I'll try that and see if that fixes the problem.
