Default Any good shops in the Jim Thorpe/Lehighton area?

Heading to J.T. for the weekend getaway. Wondering if there's any shops worth visiting in the immediate area.

Eastern Arms in Albrightsville shouldn't be to far a drive from JT.

Buck's Sporting Goods across the river from Lehighton: 47 Indian Hill Rd, Lehighton, PA 18235. Not always the best prices but he had reloading powder when others did not back in the shortage era.

Looks like Eastern Arms will be 1st on the list, as we're going right past it tomorrow on the way down. They are closed on Sundays.

Another vote for Boyer's. Old school hardware store with guns. Merica!

I got my first 1911 from them back in the day. Super laid back, nice folks. I haven't stopped by in forever, but I doubt they've changed any.

While not a gun shop, If you have the wife and or kids with you , be sure to hit Country Junction in Lehighton "The world's largest country store", while not as cool as before it totally burnt to the ground and was rebuilt, still a neat place for a tourist trap stop in

    ***EDIT***
and if your into shows, check out Penns Peak :http://www.pennspeak.com/
a great venue with great seating, a lot of 70's-80's cover bands, and some washed up one hit wonders of the same era. but a nice small concert venue

Another thumbs up for AF Boyer!

Stopped in today & gun area was packed.

Bob sent me packing with 2 new toys.

    Be sure to check out their ammo sale ... some nice brass cased 9 mm/115 gr @ $7.99 & 5.56 @ $6.99

The gun area is always packed on Saturdays, sometimes making it impossible to shop. What brand of 5.56 was at that price?
