Reliable, inexpensive dot or acog style optic for an AR
Not for super heavy use, but I am only familiar with Aimpoints (comp 2 & 4, 2s are junk) and Acogs. What something reliable, but is less expensive then those options. Don't have a strong preference for gold, red, or green.

Vortex makes some really nice optics at an affordable price.
They make a 3x red dot too.
I cant afford an ACOG, but I willl be putting a 3x Vortex on ny next AR build.
I also have a couple Aimpoint Pro's and they're great, but no magnification."One must be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves” ~ Machiavelli

I have a Sig Romeo 5 on an AR pistol that’s held up perfectly well. The glass has a slight tint compared to higher end aimpoints but really isn’t noticeable when running it. Multiple brightness setting and will turn itlsef off then shake to wake so you can always leave it on and not kill battery.
I think they can be had for ~120 or so, maybe cheaper if on sale somewhere.
