Re: Beretta 81 Oaks Show Find
I had a NAA .32 Pocket pistol quite a few years back. It was outright painful to shoot and I eventually got rid of it.
Did the fabric over meat test on it with and it penetrated through a 10 inch pot roast and a couple thicknesses of old blue jeans Not a huge wound channel but it was there.
The .32 was used by police for a long time.
Looking forward to the arrival of my 81 beretta.

Re: Beretta 81 Oaks Show Find
I picked one up from a local dealer. $200 out the door, tax and transfer included. I've ran about 200 rounds thru it and it's a fine plinking\range pistol. May be a good "truck pistol" as well. Mine has some pitting, but not an extraordinary amount. Fun little pistol to shoot. Ammo can be found on-line at reasonable cost. $0.22 per shot for Fiocchi and $0.17 for something called "Geco". You could go all out and get Prvi Partizan for $0.24\shot.

Re: Beretta 81 Oaks Show Find
I saw three dealers, and perhaps more had them . Try Hall A(?) where the main entrance is. He is down the first aisle turning right. There was another one next to where they sell reloading and gun powder stuff. It's a great price but I still want it clean. I could live with some holster wear but some had serious pitting everywhere. I don't want that at any price. They were all going for around $160. There was not exactly a run on them by the time the show was over. I have a Bernardelli (my Italian bride) in 32 and it's quickly becoming my favorite caliber. Much softer to shoot than my Makaraov, and lethal enough for me.
