I have a mini mill. But I’ve highly modified it as I do everything. Uprite support/stiffener, made my own cog belt drive system for higher speed, replaced the spindle bearings, made new ACME 5/8 lead screws and Delrin lead screw nuts. Doing a more powerful motor at some point, but it does what I need it to.

    David, you've said too much.

Keep on building...but be careful what you post online.

Nitrided LPK? Ever since Ascend Armory went under I haven't been able to source a nitrided mag release & have been using V7 Ionbond Titanium. Nice, but pricey. Where do you get yours?

Why do you say that? I’m doing nothing wrong. I am a law abiding citizen taking advantage of the constitutional rights afforded me. I don’t brake the law, I never have. If some government agency wants to try to make some kind of an example of me, so be it. But I’m not going to cower.

I’ve studied the law thoroughly my friend.

I became a Gunsmith/firearms builder without ever paying anybody a single cent. I learned & taught my self all that I know. I’m also a Knifemaker & machinist. I do this because I love it.

Translating to non-machinist for Alpacaheat: He took his machining tools and make them more durable, more accurate, and better running. Nothing about what he is doing with the tools.

I am also a Gunsmith and have been working on guns over 40 years. Be careful and keep up on the laws. I now only do my own work or buy up "Parts guns" to repair and auction off later. Do not do outside gun work if you have no FFL. You now need an FFL to work on other peoples guns, unless they bring them to you and wait while you do it. Even that is a little dicey. I know, it is crazy shit. At this point in life I don't want the expense or wasted time of record keeping. Just be aware.

^^^ It is exactly this situation that a friend dropped out of the gunsmithing business.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Oh absolutely. I agree whole heartedly. I DON’T take others firearms to work on. And I DON’T build any for others. I work on my own ONLY. And build firearms for myself!

I see your using anodized lowers, once you mill out the internationals how do you treat the raw aluminum? I'm looking to order a few 80% receivers and I'm not sure if I should go with them all in the white or pre anodized.
