The Associated Press is reporting that someone in the Northam administration is saying that Northam plans to declare a state of emergency on January 20, Lobby Day.

I was out earlier in the week moving trucks around the region. I had to laugh, they already have the signs for the event up...They have the brown, National Historic Site signs posted for the Richmond National Battlefield Park.

How can a rally be a legitimate reason to declare a SOE? History shows that 2A rallies are extremely peaceful, patriotic and clean. There's no reason to fear unless he's planning on unreasonable enforcement and/or provoking violence.

This is right out of the Democrat (and Tom Wolf's) playbook to prevent citizens from exercising their 2A rights for political reasons.

The official said the state does not have intelligence that the groups are planning a specific act of violence, but said Northam has grown increasingly concerned about numerous ominous-sounding postings on social media from forces outside Virginia. The official cited one posting that included a photo of an AR-15 and said there are "great sight angles from certain buildings" near Capitol Square.

Virginia law enforcement officials have been criticized for their planning and response to a deadly 2017 white nationalist rally in Charlottesville that involved heavily armed protesters. One woman was killed and several more were injured when a car plowed into a group of counterprotesters.

The Governor and State were absolutely responsible for the violence that occurred in Charlottesville. They allowed groups that should not have been allowed near each other to be mixed together, maybe intentionally. Remember, they tried to paint the White Nationalists as regular you-and-me Trump voters. They had permits...ANTIFA did not. Yet, they were escorted into the permit area to fight. It almost appeared to be planned out that way.

To this day, the DNC still cites Charlottesville in their narratives against the President. They got the result they wanted.

He has poked a bear that would be better left alone and he does not hold a winning hand. He is trying to scare people out of doing what they are getting ready to do.

I have a feeling it won't work. Virginians have had enough. It is time for them to stand and fight...and I believe they will.

I just pray that they (and some of you) all keep a level head and do not fall for the tricks to make them lose their cool and play into the Governor's hands. Stay strong, push back, but stay peaceful.
