While I know tensions are high (as they should be) and language is being tossed around...when it comes to a DIRECT and specific death threat happening, it's tough to believe. They've used this tactic of crying fear many times. Look how many Democrat HQs have been vandalized the night before elections with swastikas and busted windows, even bullets...to be later proven to be done by themselves.

It might be a better strategy to call for a RALLY EVERY WEEK on the steps of the capitol until the message sinks in...
Northam is not wrong about a State of Emergency - But it's on the opposite end of the spectrum...
The government is oppressing the people - just like Dems have been doing since their founding...

What kind of man has the balls to pass laws that strip and restrict others of their rights and doesn't even have the balls to stand up and face his states constituents in the eyes while he is sitting in a gun free zone he voted for?
I would call him a vagina but that's an insult to all the good women out there.
I think I found something that might apply to him.

Re: ***Virginia Lobby Day 1/20/20***POOFA Response Thread***
How many of you actually read the whole article? The very last sentence of the article quotes him as saying “I’m not dying for bills I don’t even support“. He said he opposes red flag laws, and it sounds like he’s also opposed to bans, apparently because he’s afraid the ‘nazis’ are out to get people and wants them to have the guns they need to “stop ‘nazis’ from killing them”. He did say he’s for expanding background checks, mandatory reporting of lost and stolen, and “safe storage”, so he’s for things we oppose, but he’s not advocating, as far as I can see, bans and confiscation.

Culpepper county sheriff on Fox News
https://www.foxnews.com/media/virgin...rol-opposition
Culpeper County Sheriff Scott Jenkins reacted on Friday to the Virginia state House Democratic majority pushing several gun control measures to the upper senate chamber, calling it an "overreaching agenda against the Second Amendment."
“Never have I, or anyone, seen in the Commonwealth of Virginia someone have a topic so strongly opposed as this issue and suddenly this strong uprising against it,” Jenkins told “Fox & Friends First.”
Jenkins' comments came after four gun control bills on Monday advanced in Virginia’s General Assembly, setting the stage for a contentious showdown between gun rights advocates and Democratic lawmakers who have vowed to bring comprehensive changes to the state.
The bills that sailed through the state’s Judiciary Committee would require background checks on all firearms purchases, allow law enforcement to temporarily remove guns from people deemed to be a risk to themselves or others, limit handgun purchases to one a month and let localities decide whether to ban weapons from certain events.
On Wednesday, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam, a Denocrat, declared a state of emergency and said he is temporarily banning individuals from carrying firearms and other weapons on Capitol grounds ahead of a scheduled rally against the measures. Northam expressed concern about a repeat of the violence law enforcement was ill-prepared to deal with at another rally in Charlottesville more than two years ago.
Jenkins went on to say, “I think we’re clearly seeing the pushback now from our electorate in Virginia that they’re not in favor of these gun restrictions and there are a lot of people willing to have their voice heard Monday.”
Jenkins said state lawmakers believe they were elected on a "mandate" to take swift action on guns, and he believes the left-wing lawmakers are overreaching. He also questioned Northam's reasoning for banning people from legally carrying their firearms at the rally.
Fox News' Vandana Rambaran and Barnini Chakraborty contributed to this report.

Re: ***Virginia Lobby Day 1/20/20***POOFA Response Thread***
I believe they meaning dems only have the majority by one maybe two seats so if he wasn't for or going to vote for any of this then this is all moot? I heard this from the head of the VCDL so I am pretty sure all the dems were ready to sign off on everything presented to them. Funny we haven't seen a single video or article of him other then this one going against his colleagues and standing up for what is right. He has a duty to stand up to bad legislation and speak to and for his clearly upset constituents which he is choosing not to do on lobby day. Not to mention all his modern day Nazi bull shit fantasies aren't helping him in my eyes being that if you added up all the confirmed "nazis" living in America now you would probably have a statistical zero.
But if I am wrong then I am wrong.Last edited by Hodgie; January 17th, 2020 at 02:15 PM.
