GOA and VCDL File Suit to Strike Down Gov. Northam's Illegal Gun Ban

Please make an EMERGENCY contribution to help fund GOA's lawsuit against Governor Northam. We are determined not to let this governor run roughshod over our gun rights. But every step of the way comes with a price tag. WE NEED YOU!

You Can Help GOA Fight the Governor's Gun Ban!

As you are no doubt aware, Virginia Gov. “Blackface” Northam declared a “State of Emergency” for the capital area for Monday’s Lobby Day in Richmond.

The Governor’s action is illegitimate and cannot be allowed to stand.

GOA and VCDL are challenging Gov. Northam's illegal gun ban in court.

Gun Owners of America and the Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) are filing an Emergency Injunction against the governor’s actions.

His action infringes on both the First and Second Amendment rights of Virginian’s who wish to peaceably assemble to petition their government, while at the same time not surrendering their right to self-defense.

This rally is held annually with thousands of participants and without incident. The only difference this year is that, in response to the Democrats’ attempt to eviscerate the Second Amendment, a much larger crowd is expected.

Incredibly, Northam is using the 2017 rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in support of his ban on firearms, ignoring the fact that the unfortunate death that day was a vehicular homicide.

Northam hasn’t made any attempt to ban cars.

Like all gun control, this gun ban could have only negative consequences. If there are, in fact, any bad actors who would attempt to hijack the rally, they would simply ignore the law.

Over the next 24 hours, GOA and VCDL lawyers will be in court fighting the ban.

Stand and fight alongside us as we take on Gov. Northam. Please make an EMERGENCY contribution to help sustain GOA's lawsuit against the Governor.

We are determined not to let this governor run roughshod over our gun rights.

But every step of the way comes with a price tag. WE NEED YOU!

The next 24 hours are critical for the defense of our Second Amendment.

A 2012 law strictly limits the governor’s ability to ban gun in a state of emergency, and a political rally falls way outside his reach. We will fight this power grab and hope you will stand with us.

So, if you can, please help fund GOA’s emergency injunction today.

We know that many gun owners—both in Virginia and across the country—are planning to attend the Lobby Day in Richmond. We are excited to see you there. But if you plan to attend Lobby Day, remember the eyes of the media—and the country—will be on us!

Organizers appeal ban on arms at upcoming Virginia gun rally

RICHMOND, Va. — A gun-rights group has filed an emergency appeal of a judge's ruling upholding the Virginia governor's ban on firearms at a pro-gun rally that's expected to draw thousands of gun activists to the state Capitol on Monday.

The Virginia Citizens Defense League and Gun Owners of America sought an injunction against the ban, but Judge Joi Taylor ruled Thursday that Gov. Ralph Northam has the authority under state law to take action related to "the safety and welfare" of the state. The group's lawyers then turned to the Supreme Court of Virginia.

"Without relief from this court, petitioners and thousands of other rally participants will be irreparably denied their right to bear arms," the groups' attorneys argue in their appeal.

It was not immediately clear when the court would hear the appeal.

In her written decision, Taylor cited rulings from the U.S. Supreme Court and other courts that found the Second Amendment right to bear arms is not unlimited. Because of that, she wrote, the gun-rights groups would not "suffer an irreparable harm" sufficient to justify the injunction.

The judge's ruling came hours after the FBI in Maryland announced the arrest of three men who they said were linked to a violent white supremacist group. The three men were believed to be planning to attend the rally in Richmond, according to a law enforcement official who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity to discuss an active investigation.

Virginia's solicitor general, Toby Heytens, argued at Thursday's hearing that the governor was well within his authority to declare the state of emergency and ban weapons after law enforcement identified "credible evidence" that armed out-of-state groups planned to come to Virginia with the possible intention of participating in a "violent insurrection."

David Browne, an attorney for the gun-rights groups, argued that prohibiting rallygoers from carrying guns would violate their Second Amendment right to bear arms and their First Amendment right to free speech. Browne said carrying guns is a form of symbolic speech.

Philip Van Cleave, president of the Virginia Citizens Defense League — the gun-rights group sponsoring Monday's rally — called the judge's ruling "mind-boggling."

Northam applauded the ruling in a statement.

"I took this action to protect Virginians from credible threats of violence," he said. "These threats are real — as evidenced by reports of neo-Nazis arrested this morning after discussing plans to head to Richmond with firearms."

Virginia senators were debating a package of gun-control bills as the court challenges developed.

The Democrat-led Senate advanced legislation limiting handgun purchases to once a month, requiring universal background checks on gun purchases, and allowing localities to ban guns in public buildings, parks and other areas. The measures largely passed along partisan lines and will now go to the House for consideration.

Democrats said they were reasonable measures that would improve public safety while respecting the rights of law-abiding gun owners. They said the public had made clear by voting for Democrats in recent elections that new gun laws were needed.

"The citizens in this last two elections have spoken," said Democratic Sen. Dave Marsden.

Republicans decried the legislation as an assault on the Second Amendment. They said the bill was aimed at appeasing special interest groups and donors such as Democratic presidential hopeful Michael Bloomberg. GOP senators said the new laws would entrap innocent people and do nothing to stop bad actors.

"This may be what you think is safety, but it is not," said Republican Sen. Bill Stanley.

I'd lay money on that image being pulled from something completely unrelated simply to get a reaction from people.

I'm 99% certain I've seen that exact photo several years ago.

    IT'S A TRAP

TRAP TYPE: A classic Marion Antoinnette style “Let them eat cake” trap.

TRAP SPECS: Bloomberg and European billionaire elites insert Ralph Northam (a fairytale level cartoon villain) as de-facto authoritarian governor of Virginia... a State they know carries the flag “Sic semper tyrannis”. Ralphie intentionally enrages the population with a textbook Unconventional Warfare Operation taunting the populous with insane mid-evil policy suggestions and then threatens to use force against the people if they do not comply with his unlawful demands.

MECHANISM #1: Trap is set when Ralphie and his legislature unlawfully declare carrying weapons on state property to be“illegal”, taunting the people to either overreact, so they can crack down.

MECHANISM #2: Trap effectively intimidates and deters the people from standing-up as they back down to an authoritarian, so that they can continue to be corralled and subjugated in a more orderly fashion.

TRAP COUNTERMEASURES: With a strong careful hand use an appropriate tool to hold the jaws of the trap open while a friend unsets the spring and then removes the bait.

Stand up boldly and say NO to unlawful actions of the criminals taking them, do not be intimidated, do not run, do not hide, most importantly do not set the trap by overreacting.

Thoroughly detail and log every attempt of their goons trying to set of the trap. Don’t back down.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE TRAP SETTER AND BAITER:

    1. Ralphie thinks that “white sheets” and ‘black-face’ costumes are funny.

    2. Ralphie links up with radical billionaire globalist, self-professed Saint Michael Bloomberg, who wants to disarm his People and dissolve the sovereignty of the United States

    3. Ralphie and his crew are “voted into office” NOT by the People, but by wireless electronic voting machines with major security issues that were widely observed in similar machines years before by the Virginia State Board of Elections.

    4. Ralphie is proud of helping sex offenders to get into shelters with less restrictions

    5. Ralphie is cool with waiting to discuss the option of killing babies AFTER they’re born

    6. Ralphie says its “illegal” to carry weapons on state grounds, before Lobby Day

    7. Ralphie threatens to completely and even forcibly disarm and declaw all Virginia citizens - no matter what the cost

    8. Bloomberg and Ralphie are shipping in bus-loads of paid agitators and co-agitators to conduct potential false flag operations, or to taunt the crowd into triggering the trap.
