Re: Appalachian Promotions
I'm wondering if this will be packed this weekend. Is it best go to early Saturday morning? Would a lot of stuff be sold out by Sunday?

Re: Appalachian Promotions
Has anyone gone to this today? I'm thinking about going tomorrow, wondering if there's anything to look out for - good deals, bad deals, etc.

Re: Appalachian Promotions
I don't really go for deals as you can find anything cheaper on the internet. I did see some good ones though. Used but good condition G22 mags for $12.49. Thats a good deal in my book. To bad I couldn't get any(see PS.)
I was very surprised by the size and all the things I was thinking about buying and actually got to handle. I thought it was well worth it.
PS. Don't used the ATM outside the door. Saw 2 people complete transaction(subtracted from account) and get $0. Me no use ATM...Last edited by paemt; October 25th, 2008 at 09:58 PM.

Re: Appalachian Promotions
My buddy got a really good deal on a new Mossberg shotgun, but I found many of the vendors to be rather cranky--which was rather off-putting.

Re: Appalachian Promotions
Some of the dealers are just normally cranky. Others get cranky after a weekend of customers asking if they can do any under the table gun transactions and get a discount on their bulk purchase of 2 $3 dollar pouches

Re: Appalachian Promotions
The ID situation could be solved with T-shirts. I'm still waiting for them to make more!

Re: Appalachian Promotions
I have a question about the show. I was there on Saturday, not in the best of moods so I wasn't thinking straight. There was a guy there that had new stocks for M1 Garands, plus he had a couple of complete M1s for about $950. Does anybody know or remember who it was? I think he was in one of the middle rows at an end table, maybe near those god awful shammy wows... Needless to say I forgot to get his info to search for him.
Also, if anyone has a mint M1 I may do a FTF for a Sig 556 with about 30rnds through it.
